When considering an investment opportunity in a new start-up company we are looking for clarity of thinking and clarity of vision combined with relevant experience and with the personality and drive needed to grow a successful business.
For acquisitions we tend to look out for businesses where management are looking to take their company to the next step, perhaps needing added development capital or external stimulus to develop further. Alternatively there may be a structural issue with perhaps one shareholder looking to sell and another looking to remain and grow the company. Further, it may be that there is an opportunity for an experienced management team to buy into an existing company with Empresaria using private equity structures and methods to enable the acquisition to take place.
