Summary: Primary responsibility to ensure front end accuracy of new account setup in billing systems. Responsible for the research, and/or resolution of any variances of an assigned account portfolio in accordance with Client Service Billing Policies and Procedures and the Consumer Credit Protection Act of 1977.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures completion of necessary information from entry sheet and medication orders for data entry and account setup in AS400 system. Review and route documents through Docutrak system to appropriate department.
  • Verify payers and demographic information. Where applicable, fill in gaps in demographic information.
  • Works with internal and external customers to resolve assigned accounts. Productivity records will be maintained.
  • Works with Admissions Director/Supervisor in researching pharmacy accounts requiring special attention, and taking all necessary action to ensure accuracy of data being entered.
  • Works with Admissions Director/Supervisor and other members of the management team on special projects as needed.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Work Experience:
Required: 1 year data entry experience.
Desired: 1 year billing and/or collections experience, or 1 year experience in the health-care industry.

Skills/Knowledge:
Required: 10-Key by touch, data entry, MS Excel and Word and basic computer knowledge
Desired: Benefits investigation knowledge

Shift Timings: 11:30 am - 8:00 pm.
