Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Industrial Division is exclusively partnered with multinational organisation who is well established in the electronics industry catering to different industries including solar, pharmaceutical and semiconductors.

Our respected client is seeking a, Assistant General Manager with proven track record in overseeing overall business operations managing multiple functions. The Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Penang office in Malaysia, focusing on projects catering to the Semiconductor and Electronics industry.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the Penang branch's operations, including the sales team, marketing, HR and accounting department, and new business development planning initiatives to achieve the Branch Office KPI and targets
  • Be very hands on and execute projects successfully by leading teams of different functions, guiding them on with his or her strong technical skills and knowledge
  • To manage and implement management control processes, ensuring adherence to local regulations for smoother office operations
  • Manage the P&L of the office, ensuring a healthy financial status
  • Localise the sales strategies and operations, to strengthen presence in the Malaysian market, to further brand the name of the company here
  • Coach and guide staff to ensure full capacity and competency is met, reaching for the betterment of performances

Job requirements:

  • At least 10 - 15 years related experience in Semi-con industry (technical knowledge of the industry will be an advantage)
  • Degree holder or equivalent
  • CAPEX project experience is a high advantage
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Candidate will need to have internal management experience with an MNC
  • Great leadership skills with ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, responsible, and able to communicate well
  • Good time management skills
