Assistant Operations I Packers and runners are technicians based on Illinois pharmacy law. So as technicians working in the pharmacy they are required to have a valid Illinois license. We call them ops assistants but by law their classification in the pharmacy world is technician. They can work with a receipt that they paid for their license and started the process. But that receipt must be brought on day 1.

***Sunday-Thursday Sunday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Monday-Thursday 12:30 PM- 9:00 PM ***

***May be required to operate a forklift on as needed basis if converted to FTE-Site will provide proper training**

This position works with the operations pharmacist and pharmacy technician to coordinate assemble and package customer orders for shipment. Exciting opportunity to be a part of our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy! In the Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy you will work in a fulfillment capacity to ensure that our patients receive life sustaining specialty drug therapy. You will be responsible for the overall processing and shipment of new patient medication orders and reorders. You will be cross trained on multiple stations and functions within the facility as assigned. Successful incumbents in this role can manage multiple pharmacy workstations and tasks and are dedicated to supporting the teams ability to fill patient prescriptions promptly safely and accurately and to providing caring service that exceeds customer expectations. You will work in a fulfillment capacity to ensure that our patients receive life sustaining specialty drug therapy. Successful incumbents in this role can manage visual descriptions to properly package medications with various supplies tape gel ice foam etc.. Team is responsible for shipping 6000 orders a day from this site. You will be learning various packing and shipping methods per company policy also reviewed in training/orientation. Physical Demands: This position is physically demanding requiring an individual to lift up to 30-50 lbs. Must be able to stand walk and lift for several hours at a time.

Work Environment:

Warehouse may be licensed in some states by the State Board of Pharmacy and therefore have security/pharmacy restrictions. May be exposed to hazardous materials through the packing and shipping processes.
