Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global commercial arm of a multinational pharmaceutical company. Our respected client is seeking a Business Development Manager to support the Key Operating Director and work closely to BD Director and Global BD Team in the development of the strategic direction and delivering the business objectives in line with the overall business strategies. The job is based in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develops and leads the execution of the agreed BD activities aimed to driving new business including product/service development, developing marketing campaigns, monitoring performance and developing improvement plans
  • Researches long-range business directions (e.g. new products and/or services) for the Chief Executive with close coordination with Global BD team and BD director of Direct Markets to evaluate and select, and assists in conveying the same to the organization in a clear and understandable manner
  • Evaluates and recommends strategies to achieve long-range goals with considerations on the resources and potential gains
  • Researches on future trends and issues in business i.e. technological, environmental and political and determine appropriate business actions
  • Provides distribution channel analysis and development plans to assist the EXECOM in achieving its goals.
  • Assists in the preparation, submission and presentation of the annual corporate budget for local and regional approval
  • Assists in the coordination of activities to ensure optimum development of all potential markets and optimum distribution and utilization of human and physical resources
  • Effectively liaises and coordinates with other Divisions on special projects and other related business development initiatives
  • Performs other duties that maybe assigned from time to time

Key relationships:

Internal - National Sales Manager, Regional Sales Managers, Administrative Manager, Regulatory Affairs Manager

External - Doctors, Pharmacists, MDI counterparts, Global Marketing and other global partners

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Management
  • At least 6 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with business development exposure and strong product management and marketing skills
  • Great presentation skills
