Category Development Manager

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a renowned multi-national company. The Category Development Manager will create strategies to improve sales results and deliver customer category objectives. This role is on a hybrid work set-up and will be reporting to the Demand Manager.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Will analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
  • Devise long-term development strategies for product categories
  • Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
  • Recommend category and growth strategies
  • In charge in product modernization and transformation
  • Conduct product presentations
  • Manage product distribution
  • Oversee review process with clients and customers and provide analysis
  • Identify opportunities for product growth and advancement
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field
  • At least 5 years work experience in Managerial level
  • Strong experience in sales & distribution / channel management / field trade marketing
  • Must have good planning capability
  • Must understand D-commerce
  • Significant experience in project management
  • Excellent written, visual and verbal presentation skills
  • Superior organizational and time management skills for effective planning and execution of objectives
  • Strong sense of self-motivation and professional responsibility
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Eagerness to communicate outside of working hours on urgent and priority issues
  • Willingness to support the needs of other departments if necessary
  • Ability to work in a close-knit team setting
