Change Management Business Analyst - £300 PAYE daily rate.

We have been appointed to recruit an experienced Change Management Business Analyst to join a successful Retailer based in central London.

This IMMEDIATE vacancy will be for 4-6 months and will be project based.
Reporting to the Head of the MCI programme (MCI = Merch Capabilities Improvement) the successful candidate will be responsible for providing Business Analysis support for the implementation of the Markdown system. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and with IT delivery to ensure that the solutions delivered realise true benefit. You will support this work, ensuring that business requirements and processes are fully understood and clearly documented. This role is focused more on supporting change management and documenting and re-defining processes, than on the technical side of the implementation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Acquires in-depth knowledge of existing business processes and systems, documenting process models and task analysis, to identify areas for potential process improvement.
  • Takes ownership of gathering and articulating user, business requirements (both functional and non-functional), documenting accurately, to ensure all requirements contribute to a business case.
  • Collaborates and interacts with multi-disciplinary teams for initial feasibility study, solution design, and business justification to ensure there is a clear understanding of what change is being proposed and why.
  • Builds and maintains strong business relationships with all stakeholders and designated contacts, to share business system and domain knowledge.
  • Works closely with project and product management teams with the purpose of providing analysis updates, raising task blockers to facilitate business and/or technical decisions
  • Works with stakeholders to define business benefits and measure performance and values
  • Provide documentation support for requirements gathering; process analysis; gap analysis; design of new functionality; and product testing.
  • Participate in project walkthroughs: business requirements gathering, design walkthrough, functional test plans and implementation sessions.
  • Develop periodic project progress reports.
  • Manage written communications to stakeholders

Knowledge and experience required:

  • Awareness of business and data analysis tools and techniques such as: requirements elicitation, structured analysis and design, process mapping and component business modelling, business process re-engineering.
  • To learn and adopt different business analysis techniques appropriate and relevant to delivery scope
  • Strong communication skills - able to communicate clearly, effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Fosters professional relationships, listens, encourages discussion and promotes two-way communication
  • Good knowledge of project lifecycle and delivery in a technical environment
  • Understands project plans and is able to clearly articulate roles, project goals
  • Experience of a variety or project management methods both iterative and waterfall
  • Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans and manages time effectively
  • Good planning and organisational skills, able to juggle competing priorities and take an appropriate course of action
  • Has high levels of resilience, able to take input and direction to run with a task, timelines
  • Good knowledge of technical product management and development methodologies
  • Experience of a variety or project management methods both iterative and waterfall
  • Establishes responsible deadlines and personal work plans and manages time effectively
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills - able to analyse and solve problems. Ability to identify and document solutions to complex business problems with accuracy.
