Executive Search Firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a multinational food manufacturing and distribution company. Our respected client is seeking a Channel Manager for General Trade who will be responsible for market performance for general trade channel and provincial foodservice channel. The role will manage distributors and supermarkets (key accounts & secondary accounts) and will report to the Associate Business Director. The job is based in Quezon City, Mondays to Fridays from 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Key job responsibilities include:

* To be responsible for the in-market sales achievement, driving the growth in retail and foodservice.
* To achieve original budget/OB target or net sales target of designated area or channel covered, subject to periodic review of management according to the business status/changes.
* To track, monitor and analyze product, channel and customer sales trends in order to maximize sales opportunities and achieve desired sales results.
* To work with distributor sales team to ensure execution excellence in 4 key aspects i.e distribution expansion, product merchandising, on-shelf availability and promotion activities implementation.
* To build and strengthen business relationship with the key distributor/s, sub-distributors and wholesalers, where relevant to drive product distribution or penetration.
* To identify market potential to expand customer base in the retail channel and extend product range of the customers.
* To conduct regular visit to the key cities in the region is required to identify business opportunities and issues.
* To provide market intelligence regarding the market trend and competitor's activities in the region and provide recommendations for follow-up action whenever required

Key job qualifications include:
* Bachelor's Degree
* At least 5 years of relevant experience in FMCG sales and marketing, preferably from leading MNC food companies
* Experience in general trade channel and foodservice are desired (working experience in other trade channels will also be considered) and experience in working through distributors is preferred for this position.
* Experience in managing a team is an advantage.
* Displays potential for taking initiative and with inter-personal and communication skills.
* Displays basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Fluent in local language and English.
* Independent, self-motivated and determined to succeed in a challenging environment.
* Willing to travel out-station and overseas where required.
* Possess valid driving license.
* Computer skills: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, video call software (eg. Zoom, Teams)
* Amenable to work Mondays to Fridays, 8:30am to 5:30pm in Quezon City
