Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a payment software company that focuses on developing safe, secure, and certified face to face and online payment solutions.

Job Summary
Our esteemed client is in search of a seasoned professional with executive leadership expertise with a proven track record of success in senior operational roles within the retail industry for the job of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee the organization's day-to-day operations and long-term business strategies. This is a direct report to the President/CEO, and he/she will be part of the company's executive team. The individual will work closely with the executive team, operational teams, clients, and contractors to deliver the company's operations, establish best practices, assess and implement new tools, and build and maintain stakeholder relationships. The job is in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines, and has onsite work arrangement.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive operational strategy aligned with the company's overall goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to establish and manage the operational budget.
  • Implement cost control measures and operational best practices to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes, optimizing sourcing, procurement, and distribution.
  • Implement inventory management strategies to balance product availability with cost efficiency.
  • Lead and optimize store operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Implement standardized operating procedures across all retail locations.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to align e-commerce operations with in-store activities.
  • Drive strategies to enhance the online shopping experience and fulfillment processes.
  • Champion a customer-centric culture across all operational functions.
  • Implement initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of retail technology trends and lead digital transformation initiatives.
  • Build and lead a high-performance operations team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and ethical standards.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential operational disruptions.

Key job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
  • At least 15 years or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
  • A proven track record of success in senior operational roles within the retail industry.
  • In-depth understanding of retail operations, supply chain management, and inventory management.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Demonstrated the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced retail environment.
