Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global leader
in the trading & manufacturing industry. Our respected client is seeking an executive with at least (5) years' experience in Finance, Accounting and Auditing as Comptroller who has experience in financial reports and Income statements, with good negotiation and management skills for the position of COMPTROLLER. The job is based in Quezon City.

Job Summary:

The comptroller is overall responsible for the financial and accounting functions of the Company.

Key job responsibilities include:

* Direct the day-to-day financial operations of the organisations accounting department. This includes maintaining accounting policies, practices, and procedures.
* Report to management on the financial condition of the Company.
* Analyse financial information and generate financial reports to identify or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profits and losses, tax obligations, or other financial activities within the organisation.
* Develop, manage, and analyse budgets and generate periodic reports comparing budgeted and actual costs.
* Compute taxes owed and prepared tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other taxes requirements.
* Monitor the Financial budget and develop internal financial control.
* Ensures proper standard costing of products based on approved parameters and assumptions.
* Reviews the actual costing done by the Cost Accountants and compares it against standard cost.
* Review production variances with management and help drive to root cause and recommend ways to control cost.
* Monitors spending on key categories and supports company initiatives to reduce spending.
* Institutes appropriate measures to control and save on costs and expenses, minimise, or avoid losses, duties, and taxes, and maximise profits
* Ensure robust financial controls are in place and are following financial policies
* Perform other duties as required by management
* Present an accurate weekly report as required

Job Requirements

* Graduate of Accountancy, Financial Management, or other business-related courses
* With at least 10 years of experience in Accounting and Audit and with actual experience in financial reports and Income statements.
* Computer literate, and knowledgeable in excel or other accounting software.
* Keen on details and highly organised with leadership skills with good communications skills in both written & oral Work.
* Knowledgeable in Quick Books
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, able to thrive in a fast paced and demanding environment
* Strong self-discipline and able to work independently
* Well versed in doing Sales and strategies to acquire new clients / customers.
* Can START ASAP!
