Our partner is a US-based company providing aerial robotics to the public sector, public safety, enterprise, and commercial operations. The key technology for the future of drones and aerial transportation.
Backed by a multi-national public organization. They are now growing an AI and Robotics R&D team in Santa Clara, CA.
The role
Our autonomy team is working on state-of-the-art artificial intelligence techniques, providing the best-in-class computer vision solutions for the drone system. We are looking for people who are passionate about robotics, with a background of deep learning, computer vision, machine learning, have solid development skills, and strong ability to solve challenging problems and advance state-of-the-art solutions. Your work will be deployed and running on all various drones our partner and you will have an opportunity to work with world first-class researchers and engineers to develop elite UAVs.
The Individual
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Perception team to deliver environment perception algorithms using deep learning for robots (drones).
Job requirements:
- D and equivalent experience and more than 3 years of Deep Learning algorithm research and project experience
- Experience of developing Deep Learning algorithms in visual target detection, tracking, semantic/instance segmentation, depth estimation, etc.
- Deep understanding of the iterative process of data-driven algorithm development, and familiar with at least two mainstream frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Caffe.
- Familiar with Python/C++.
- Have more than 1 year of experience in leading a team and managing projects.
- Model compression, deployment experience in embedded systems; NCNN MNN, TensorRT and other framework acceleration experience.
