Embedded Software/Firmware Developer - Norway

Location - Stavanger, Norway - Relocation required
Permanent contract or 6-12-month consultant period followed by permanent employment

ConSol Partners are working with a leading medical company in Scandinavia, who develop products that genuinely make a difference to the lives of millions around the world! Currently looking for Embedded software developers who will be developing and maintaining embedded device software running in their physical products

Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain embedded device software running in our physical products
* Participate in the multidisciplinary development of modules and systems
* Develop in accordance with system architecture and contribute to the improvement of it
* Interact and cooperate with other platforms and product teams
* Participate in iterative development activities including:
o Prototyping and early concepts
o Requirements and specifications
o Designs and documentation
o Implementation
o Verification and testing
o Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
* Follow established quality policies, code style, frameworks, testing, QA and release flow.
Participate in the improvements of these.

Experience
* Bachelor or Master degree within software, cybernetics, computer science or similar.
Relevant industrial experience can compensate for missing education.
* C/C++ development on limited bare-metal embedded systems, like STM32 and similar
* Communication interfaces close to hardware (CANopen, I2C, SPI, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
* Ability to work with electronics designs, understand schematics and use an oscillioscope
* SW development tools and methodology, design patterns, issue tracking, source control (git)
* Test driven development, automated testing, regression testing
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
