Executive Search Firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a multinational luxury retail company. Our respected client is seeking a Finance Business Partner who will be responsible for financial planning & analysis and controllership. The job is based in Makati City, Philippines with 4x a week onsite and 1x a week work from home.

Key job responsibilities include:
Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Managed P&L as the financial partner to the Philippines Retail Director, overseeing revenue projections, analyzing tourism trends, reviewing marketing and SGA spending at store and market levels.

  • Reviewed monthly performance, identified risks to targets, and collaborated with the Retail Director to develop action plans.

  • Led annual budget and market store network planning, factoring in key business drivers to forecast the market's full P&L.

  • Prepared pro-forma P&L analysis and strategic presentations to support store network changes.

  • Provided financial support to other Regional Finance Team members, promoting consistent approaches and market understanding.

  • Ensured Finance worked closely with and supported the business, providing information to maximize sales, profitability, and efficiency.

  • Furnished the Retail Director with financial information for evaluating Thailand's financial performance, conducting timely reviews, and analyzing growth and cost control opportunities.

  • Undertook ad-hoc projects as assigned, representing finance on cross-functional business groups and project teams.


  • Ensure a culture of compliance and governance company-wide by advising business partners on compliance issues.

  • Establish and enforce robust internal controls to protect the business from compliance risks.

  • Monitor market expenses and collaborate with the HK shared service center to ensure accurate and timely expense coding.

  • Foster collaboration between the local team and HKSSC & outsourced tax and invoicing consultants to provide comprehensive accounting support for functions like Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and GL accounting.

Key job qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • At least 7 years of experience in FP&A

  • Excellent analytical and mathematical acumen.

  • Strong attention to details and consistent follow through

  • Team player, strategic thinker, self-motivated

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • High level of self-management and ability to function amidst tight deadlines and changing priorities

  • Ability to prioritize and work in a highly dynamic, fast paced and team-oriented environment

  • Strong in MS Word, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with Business Objects and Hyperion is a plus

  • Amenable to work 4x a week in Makati City, Philippines and 1x a week work from home
