Our respected client is expanding and growing its business in Southeast Asia and is looking for General Manager to join our start-up food retail business to oversee and manage the operation of F&B stores in Thailand.
As the General Manager, you will play a crucial leadership role in overseeing our business operations in Thailand. Your primary objective will facilitate growth and effectively manage the overall performance of our F&B business in this region. Your extensive experience in leading food retail teams and organizations will be vital in ensuring the success in the dynamic Thai market. The job will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve our business objectives, drive revenue growth, and expand our market presence in Thailand.
- Conduct thorough market analysis and assess consumer trends to identify promising opportunities for new product launches and business expansion.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align strategies and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
- Utilize data-driven insights from key performance indicators to make informed decisions and optimize business operations.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Form a high-performing team and provide guidance, mentorship, and support to drive employee engagement and foster professional growth.
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members, ensuring their alignment with the organization's overall objectives.
- Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work culture that encourages innovation, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for effective talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent in the industry.
Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of our business in Thailand, including retail stores, distribution, and supply chain management.
- Ensure strict adherence to local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Monitor operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement, implementing best practices to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the global headquarters to implement standardized processes and systems while tailoring them to suit the local market.
Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as partners, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to drive business development initiatives, establish strategic partnerships, and explore potential joint ventures.
- Serve as a representative for the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to bolster brand visibility and enhance reputation
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Food Retail Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leadership roles, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of Thailand market, consumer behaviour, and local business practices.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth, expanding market presence, and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, supply chain management, and customer service principles.
- Excellent command of English
