Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of one of Multinational Entertainment company Based in Jakarta. Our respected client is seeking a GM Commercial who Responsible for the overall performance of the domestic repertoire and ensure all business goals and objectives are reached. The winning candidate will report to the Managing Director.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Develop a domestic strategy including, but not limited to marketing, promotion, release strategy and timeline in conjunction with the Marketing and A&R
  • Oversee new domestic releases marketing & promotional planning (for local signings, distribution deals & key strategic releases) with the key objectives of creating hits, increasing market shares and breaking artists
  • Build strong relationship with Medias, DSPs, Label Partners and Industry Players
  • Continue advancing innovative and unique opportunities to help artists grow not only domestically but also help them seek audiences in other markets around Asia and the world
  • Supervise the A&R team in discovering and exploring exciting artist talents and new genres
  • Secure exciting new and established artist talent through good deal structuring and terms and contract negotiations and highlighting the benefits of signing with the company
  • Help to build our reputation in the artist development process and offer more expertise and opportunity to our artists
  • Break developing artists, establishing them domestically, but also working in a connected and collective effort to break them regionally and for the superstar artists, globally
  • Work with the regional A&R team on the most talented artists to look for collaboration opportunities (regionally and internationally), overseas songwriting camps, international producers and songs etc.
  • Leverage our local A&R network to build industry connections and contacts for our artists, and help them to create the best music with our unique expertise
  • Manage and oversee catalogue releases & marketing plan. Put the release in a proper context and find ways to put it in front of the right audience and draw in new listeners
  • Embrace all relevant social platforms and channels to clearly identify the audience
  • Plan & prioritize goals and activities on asset management, monitor the progress of digitalization of catalogue content. Make sure the promotional contents are of excellent quality
  • Reach out to the diaspora to grow consumption overseas and increase overseas royalty income
  • Develop digital strategies to improve music streams, video views, social media engagement, and with an overall digital creative vision for each artist
  • Lead & produce creative contents (audio and visual) to help domestic repertoire to grow and amplify its reach. Content required covers all forms of audio and visual materials from; social videos, advertising assets, sizzle reels, posters, outdoor ads, backdrops, audio ad and more.
  • Lead the change around the creative use of technology in existing and new digital platforms which enhance experiences for fans and audiences, with measurable KPIs to validate success of each campaign.
  • Work across departments to ensure YouTube strategy & efforts can be leveraged for audience/fan insights and the general commercialization of content
  • Work with Regional Office to create and expand the company branded and unbranded channel content formats
  • Create and coordinate influencer campaigns that drive market share and streaming performance to maximize ROI
  • With the support of the local R&A Analyst, influence the change in local behaviour of the domestic team to ensure the use of analytics on a day to day basis to improve data driven decision making in commercial, marketing and A&R departments to align activity with business KPIs and goals
