Executive search firm, Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of one of the leading multinational oil and gas company that is based from the East Malaysia. They're in search of dynamic leaders to join their force as a Head of Engineering.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide a team of software engineers, offering direction and unwavering support.
  • Ensure the engineering team's success and performance, taking full accountability.
  • Align team goals with overarching organizational objectives.
  • Cultivate the professional growth of team members through coaching, mentorship, and training.
  • Take charge of project delivery, ensuring adherence to quality standards and deadlines.
  • Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department



Job Requirements:

  • Preferred qualification in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field in Digital Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in developing software applications (web/mobile).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams and overseeing software delivery.
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in any programming stack (.Net/C#/WebAPI, Angular; Node.js/React.js/Javascript, or Java, Kotlin, Swift, Objective C).
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in designing databases (e.g., MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLLite, Couchbase, Realm), including TSQL.
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in designing and developing middleware services (API) and ETL processing.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in agile development (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean).
