International award-winning executive recruitment expert Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a multinational insurance company in searching for an outstanding Head of Finance with responsibilities for partnering with the business to achieve its financial objectives by providing valuable financial analysis, business insights, and solutions.

The job holder will also leverage their expertise to support new business initiatives and provide strategic guidance for the organization's overall development.

Job Responsibilities:

This role is responsible to drive and manage the finance operations functional deliverables to ensure the timing, accuracy and in compliance with Laws, Tax regulations, Finance and Accounting Standards and corporate policies:

  • Finance operations:
    • Drive the accounting management in compliance with local accounting standard and Group accounting standard (IFRS), specifically for the Fund separation accounting
    • Be responsible for the accuracy of financial statements as a joint-work with relevant stakeholders to ensure fully & timely accounting record for all transactions relating to Life insurance occurred in the reporting period.
    • Develop, manage, and monitor system and the process for centralizing and monitoring daily premium collection
    • Drive the payment process effectiveness enhancement to deliver the better services to end-users (including employees, and third-parties) while ensuring the compliance with regulatory requirements, Tax regulations and company policies.
  • Group and local reporting:
    • Lead the developmentofPVA's reporting processes to ensure full compliance with relevant rules and standards at group wide and local together with the effectiveness in application, including but not limited to:
      • VAS reporting standards
      • PCA Finance Policies
      • PCA Corporate Governance Manual and local standards
  • Tax:
    • Manage month-end and year-end closing in Sun accounting system, approve Sun maintenance service request form from Sun users for new items or changes such as fund, product, account code, channel, and so on.
    • Be responsible to drive the deliverables of PVA's statutory reports in accordance with local accounting & tax policies and insurance regulation.
    • Ensure local reporting in compliance with local regulation and company policies and fully supported not only for the financial statement but also for administrative information circulated internally and externally.
    • Distribution compensation: Manage the Distribution Compensation and Incentive calculation in setting the process for the monitoring and calculating for all distribution channels to ensure meeting the company compensation policies.
    • Proactively provide support and collaboration with other stakeholders (internal and external) for the Finance operations matters, lead the setting & conducting Finance Operations matters for new Projects/Products implementation of Company; to get the good communication and corporation with other Departments to fulfil Company 's objectives and manage daily operations to be ensure the operation smoothly consistent and having the improvement.
    • Coordinate all external and internal audit activity that impacts on the FAM department
  • Team Management:
    • Design, monitor and review the development plan of team including but not limited to provide technical training to engage, and maintain the sustainable of the team delivery
  • Lead and drive the effectiveness of the team including but not limited to:
    • Systematically identify and implement process improvements in PVA's financial processes both to improve controls and efficiency from end to end, establishing PVA Finance as an Asian role model for Prudential. This includes ownership of the key Finance systems.
    • Design and maintain effective structure to drive the productivity of team
  • Others: other tasks assigned by line manager.
