Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Professional Division is recruiting on behalf of a full-fledged University in Nilai which has been rated as Excellent (Tier 5) by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency. Our respected client is seeking for a proactive and experienced academic with at least 5 years of experience teaching in the hospitality field.

Job responsibilities:

  • Responsible to carry out research, teaching, and administration within the parameters of the department or school.
  • Teach in the areas / modules allocated.
  • Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high-quality curriculum.
  • Assist in the development of learning materials and resources, as well as monitor student development, achievement and attendance.
  • Participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.
  • Maintain professional relationships with all students and able to provide pastoral care and support to students.
  • Contribute to the departmental, school, faculty, working groups or committees as requested by the Dean of the Faculty.
  • Establish collaborations and partnerships with other institutions in higher education and industry to drive research.
  • Maintain own continuing professional development.

Job requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's Degree in Hospitality Management or a relevant field.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in a management/administration role in the Education sector.
  • Evidence of strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in contributing to the management and development of the organisation, i.e. curriculum development issues, student support and performance issues, transfer & progression issues etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in enhancing student experience and recruitment.
  • Knowledgeable in the government policies and regulations related to higher education institutions.
  • Dynamic and tactful person, able to provide insight to the company in development of strategy.
