HW Requirements Engineer (Semiconductor / Automotive)

Munich, Germany / Remote Working (2-3 days onsite, 2-3 days remote per week)

Initial 6 month freelance contract + extensions

Description of Services:
Design Work and Consulting Services for the documentation of the COM peripherals definition and documentation for TC4x family in accordance with the stipulation of this SOW.

Tasks:
· Collection of relevant product safety and hardware requirements and documentation in the different databases and documents like data sheets, safety manuals, application and user manual.
· The collection of product safety and hardware requirements, as well as the documentation has to be done for Communication peripherals of the µC. (As examples: ASCLIN, FlexRay, SENT, CAN, I2C…)
· Maintain the mentioned documents and adapt them for the following device of the microcontroller.
· Communication, technical discussions and alignment on status have to be done for requested changes and new requirements with peers, DE, VE, AE.
· The documentation and all delivered work package must follow our client's guidelines.
· Communication and alignment on status and delivered work packages have to be done to peers, PJM and LM.
· After the generation of the needed work package requested this will be reviewed and approved by the nominated CE peers. Delivery and close alignment with the relevant projects is assumed.
· The work product will be finished when the change request are integrated and the delivered work package fulfils our client's guideline.
· The content of the user manual shall be available in a reusable format (e.g. Jama database, PRISMA, JIRA, MS Office)

Education:
· A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a related technical field

Professional Background & Experience:
· At least 1-3 years relevant working experience in a similar position within the semiconductor or automotive industry

Prior Knowledge:
· Microcontroller knowledge and automotive application know-how
· Good knowledge in automotive communication protocols like CAN, SPI, SENT, Ethernet, I2C
· Experience in writing documentation (User Manuals and define Datasheet values)
· Knowledge about functional safety standards is a plus
· Desire to work in international and cross-functional technical teams within a multi-cultural environment

Language Skills:
· Fluent English skills (written and spoken), German will be an added advantage
