ICT Functional Analyst - Project Manager

Initial 6 month freelance contract + extensions after

Leuven, Belgium (2-3 days remote per week possible)

In this temporary assignment, you will embrace the variety of working as an ICT Functional Analyst and an ICT Project Manager at the same time, with more focus on the latter.

The assignment
- As a Functional Analyst, you will:

  • translate the needs of the business into concrete requirements.
  • discuss these requirements with the different ICT teams to build, test and deliver the solution on time, in line
  • with the ICT agile processes.
  • be involved in the support and maintenance of the environment.
  • as part of your training, to better understand the underlying mechanisms, you will be involved in the
  • application development by our partners, through which you can build up sufficient technical knowledge to
  • support and challenge exiting and new solutions.

- As a Project Manager, you will:

  • define and maintain an up-to-date comprehensive committed project plan which identifies project deliverables,
  • work breakdown structure & planning, resources, risks & dependencies.
  • coordinate, motivate, encourage, facilitate and support the project team stakeholders in achieving the project
  • objectives.
  • manage/coordinate ICT Vendors (software, hardware & consultancy) who are involved in the project.
  • bring key elements for decision making to the steerco, indicating their impact and presenting potential
  • alternatives.
  • ensure that the necessary change management actions are taken (communication, training, post go live
  • support, ...)
  • be end-to-end responsible for the preparation & successful realization/delivery of the features assigned to
  • him/her in line with the project objectives, scope, budget & timeline as defined in the project charter.

Required knowledge and skills

  • You have a master's degree, preferably in computer science or engineering.
  • Your strong analytic and problem-solving skills enable you to interpret customer requirements and issues.
  • We value your extensive track record in project and change management, and project delivery. You have a background in project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2 & SAFe), processes and techniques that you apply in a pragmatic way.
  • You are a team player and with your no-nonsense attitude, you coordinate your team to get the job done.
  • You are a strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with internal ICT colleagues as well as with external development resources.
  • You are fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
