A world's largest Italian biopharmaceutical company is hiring for the IT Manager. More information is as below.

Accountability Summary

  • Manage the life-cycle of IT infrastructure and services (hardware, software, subscriptions) in the country with a focus on ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT data and services to internal and external clients promoting continuous improvement in productivity, service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Improve the level of IT services and productivity across the organization (back-office, field-force, partners, customers) that is measurable resulting in increased cost-effectiveness and value.
  • Partner with the local business functions to provide business solutions and technologies enabling business agility and innovation.
  • Provide digital transformation innovation and support to the company.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • IT Infrastructure:
    • Ensure that network equipment, servers and underlying software to support the IT services following the Corporate standards in terms of design, brand, model and configuration.
    • All infrastructure (Corporate, regional data centers, Cloud platforms) and security-related projects must be planned and executed in collaboration with the regional and Corporate IT teams.
    • Conduct regular Performance and Capacity planning in anticipation of company growth.
  • IT Budget:
    • Ensure that all IT infrastructure, security, operations and maintenance activities and assets in the country are captured, tracked and reviewed in the annual budget and forecasts using the Corporate budgeting system and unauthorized expenditures prevented.
  • IT Security:
    • Support all IT Security initiatives to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and security of the company network and systems.
  • IT Operations:
    • Ensure that systems, services and infrastructure work reliably and securely through regular (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) IT activities (e.g. backups, optimizations, clean-up).
  • IT Service Delivery:
    • Outside of scheduled downtime, ensure that availability and performance of both the IT services at stakeholders are constantly available and as per SLA .
  • IT Support:
    • Support and improve the quality and inter-working of the service team involving other partners to ensure a seamless end-to-end delivery of service.
    • With focus on the field-force, ensure that problems and incidents are resolved promptly and root-cause analysis performed.
    • Reduce support tickets through analysis and resolution of root cause(s)
  • IT Audit and assessments:
    • Participate in external and internal IT audits, third-party information security assessments and due-diligence reviews, ensuring findings are addressed comprehensively and timely.
  • IT Procurement:
    • In collaboration with Procurement, negotiate equipment, software, hosting and service purchases, rental, maintenance and licensing for the best value and in compliance to procurement policy.
  • IT Vendor Management:
    • Manage vendors in a contract for service arrangement or providing out-sourced managed services to ensure agreed quality of deliverables on time and within budget.
  • IT General Controls:
    • Ensure that the following IT activities are compliant to internal processes and industry standards:
      • Incident and Problem Management (root cause analysis)
      • Change Management (protect service quality)
      • Release Management
      • Ticket Management (creation to resolution)
    • IT Project Management:
      • Ensure that all IT projects are in compliance to internal life-cycle of internal processes, standards and guidelines (Initiation, Planning, Procurement, Execution, Closure).
    • IT Demand Management,Solutioning and Delivery:
      • Ensure that local demand for IT services and applications are captured and support the internal demand review involving regional IT in compliance to internal life-cycle of internal processes, standards and guidelines (Initiation, Planning, Procurement, Execution, Closure).
      • Partner with the business functions to capture the requirements and together with regional and Corporate IT, identify a solution that meets the business requirements and is in alignment to the IT strategy.
      • Responsible for the delivery of the business-IT solution on time, within budget and in-scope and with the expected quality.
    • IT Digital Transformation:
      • Provide support to the local country digital initiatives.

Required requisites

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields.
  • Experienced in managing daily operations and technology projects
  • Experienced in using and supporting following technologies would be advantage.
    • Microsoft, Active Directory, Microsoft Axapta or SQL Server
    • Open-source technologies, i.e. Linux, Ubuntu and centos, MySQL or PostgreSQL, Nginx or Apache, Oracle
  • Experienced in change management, incident management, problem management processes as industry best practices
  • Strong technical skills to be able to cover all aspects of technical design including WANs, Cisco Routers, Firewalls and switches, VPNs, VMWare ESX, Microsoft Server Standard/Enterprise, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Communicate effectively on paper, via email, over the phone or in person
  • Strong writing skills in preparing manuals and documentation
  • Flexibility and timely reaction to urgent requirements
  • Good communication, well-plan organization and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skill and having service mind.
