Executive Search Firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting for a Laboratory Operations Manager on behalf of a leading tertiary hospital based in Bacolod City. The role will directly report to the Head of Ancillary and will be responsible for management functions from strategic planning, organizing, staffing, and directing the laboratory operation of to ensure smooth operations. Role requires 100% onsite work setup and will be based in Bacolod City.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs and oversees the operations of the laboratory department - that plans and programs are properly implemented and that company policies are being adhered to.
  • Prepares and proposes budget of the department and ensures that the budget and resources are well-utilized and efficiently monitored in order to achieve targets.
  • Formulates, implements, and proposes business plans and targets.
  • Closely monitors and evaluates the job performance of the staff and maintains discipline and order among staff and resolves problems that may arise
  • Prepares the weekly work schedule of the staff and monitors their attendance.
  • Participates in the hiring process of vacant positions in the department to make sure that the most suitable candidate is chosen.
  • Ensures the proper upkeep of the laboratories by performing periodic inspections to determine if facilities are in need of alterations or repair and by coordinating with several key sections/departments
  • Answers MD's and client's inquiries regarding the laboratory.
  • Performs other related duties that may be assigned by the superior.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with Masters Degree (MBA, Public Health and other related Master's Degree)
  • Must have at solid experience in operations management within healthcare-related sectors; at least 5 years experience in supervisory/managerial experience
  • Must have leadership and management skills
  • Must have command and influence over staff and controls the operation towards achieving goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
  • Must be willing for onsite work in Bacolod, City
