My Client, a Leading Insurance / Financial Services client in the UK is looking to hire a Lead Insight Analyst/Developer immediately for a permanent opportunity

As the Lead Insight Analyst/Developer you will be working within the IT Strategy and Transformation team

Type - Permanent

Start Date - ASAP

Hybrid working - 2-3 days working in London per week

Salary - £90K+ Depending on experience


Role Definition

Working within the IT Strategy and Transformation team, to help drive business adoption of data led insights through the delivery of high quality operational dashboards and reporting. Working within a business facing global change programme leveraging next generation technology to help deliver solutions across the group. Working with Operational MI Product Owner to establish a high value enduring service catalogue delivery, high quality reporting and dashboard solutions

Objectives

  • Drive delivery of standard MI offering with Operational MI Product Owner
  • Deliver MVP for early adopters
  • Become technical MI SME on new broking platform data and technology stack
  • Establish ways of work with execution team
  • Establish and maintain Operational MI backlog in Azure DevOps
  • Deliver embedded KPIs with solutions to demonstrate change and adoption progress



Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Design & Implement Data, Reporting and Dashboard Solutions for the single broking platform services
  • Matrix delivery management of a small offshore team
  • Data Analysis, Data Integration and Transformation
  • Technical ownership and prioritisation of backlog
  • Problem-solving, team handling & mentoring business customers
  • MI / BI / Reporting solution provider and automation expert


Skills and abilities required

  • MS-SQL Server, TSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
  • Salesforce reporting / force.com
  • DevOps , Power BI and Advanced Excel
  • Power Pivot
  • Power Query
  • TFS(DevOps), Jira
  • MS Office (Excel)


Knowledge and Experience

  • London Market and Global Insurance Broking lifecycle and Data Set experience
  • Strong communication skills for requirements gathering
  • Experience in implementing MI / BI Solutions
  • Query optimisation, stored procedures, data cleansing & data scrubbing.
  • Experience in BI architecture and Data warehouse model from ETL to reporting using SSIS , SQL for ETL desirable
  • Liaison with off-shore development teams
  • Requirement gathering , GAP analysis , In-depth understanding of As-Is and To-Be business processes
  • Understanding of single view of customer, portfolio analysis for Insurance client to provide data solutions for their problems.
  • Proficient in automation of reports using Excel and SSRS.
