Lead Storage Engineer (Linux)
Job Description
- Design and manage a variety of quant research platforms
- Research and experiment with new centralized multi-tenant clustered platforms
- Troubleshoot complex storage, OS, and networking issues
- Build tools to improve the performance and monitoring of systems and HPC clusters
- Increase efficiency through automation of provisioning and configuration management
Requirement
- 5+ years of experience engineering, deploying, and managing large-scale Linux infrastructure, preferably in a financial services company
- 3+ years of experience in local filesystem management (ZFS, NTFS, xfs, ext4,etc.)
- 2+ years of experience with a modern infrastructure-as-code automation platform (Ansible, Salt, etc.)
- Knowledge of distributed file systems, (Lustre, GPFS, Netapp, etc.), used in large multi-tenant clustered compute environments and the ability to choose the right file system for the right use case
- Extensive experience with Linux (RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu) performing configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Experience with experience with configuration management, Infiniband, posix ACLs, ZFS, Fibre Channel, s3 etc.
