Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of one of the fastest growing multinational commercial banks in the Philippines. Our respected client is seeking a banking professional for the job of Loan Specialist who is well-versed in end-to-end loan processes. The job is based in BGC, Taguig City, Manila, Philippines.
Job Summary:
The role is mainly responsible for end-to-end loan processes from acquisition to operations/documentations. The role requires someone who is well-versed in real estate mortgage and other related documentation processes.
Key job responsibilities include:

  • Analyze, evaluate, recommend and authorize/reject Corporate, Commercial and Consumer loans files.
  • Managing the Loan Process from acquisition to operations/documentations.
  • Evaluate and analyze the financial statements, prepares credit proposal, monitor the documentation and post-sanction through periodic review and/or renewal.
  • Responsible for understanding the needs of the small to medium-sized businesses clients for account acquisition and marketing loan products.
  • Finding business solutions for the Bank's clients, while working in coordination with other Bank units in matters related to account management and loan servicing.
  • Generates new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Ensures proper account management by facilitating submission of complete client information, conducting regular client visits, preparation of proposals and timely annual review of the account.
  • Presents to and seeks approvals from Credit Committee, Executive Committee and Board approval for these loan packages.
  • Maximizes business growth potential of existing accounts by cross-selling bank products offered by other business segment of the Bank.
  • Provide information and explain to customers the different types of loan products and methods of payments. Evaluate financial situation of the account, determine whether they present a high risk as borrowers.
  • Maintain, review and update credit and loan files and establish repayment schedule
  • Prepares loan-related reports to comply with reportorial requirement of the Bank.
  • Analyze loan markets and identify new loan opportunities.
  • Assist and support Supervisor to bring better decisions and documentations on loan determination.
  • Ensure that all transactions assigned are handled efficiently and effectively in a timely manner.


Key job requirements include:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Economics, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Commerce or equivalent.
  • At least 5 - 7 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably from Commercial Bank/Foreign Bank
  • Knowledgeable in end-to-end process of loan operations
  • Knowledgeable in real estate mortgage, loan regulations, taxation and fees.
  • With knowledge in trade, specifically import and export.
