Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting an Optometry- Professional Affairs Specialist on behalf of a multinational vision-care company. The role will be responsible for maintaining good working relationships with internal & external stakeholders and ensuring that company products are used safely and effectively. The role will report to Head of Vision Care and will be based in BGC Taguig.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the commercial teams of company and distributors to develop product strategies and training plans
  • Develop and implement training contents and modules for both lenses and VTS products, aligned with Distributor and conduct trainings for both internal teams and eye care professionals
  • Work closely with the commercial teams to be up to date with market situations, competitors' activities. Provide lens technical expertise to internal teams for all lens related enquiries
  • Support the marketing team for any marketing campaigns/communication materials:
  • Simplify product technical jargons for layman understanding
  • Fact-check marketing materials for accuracy in message and content; Provide advertorial content if related to specific products
  • Develop competitive analysis for different products to:
    • Benchmark our products vs competitors to support marketing team in product positioning
    • Overcome objections / barriers handling for commercial teams
    • Develop selling story and benefits of our products vs competitors
  • Develop training modules and programs for eye care practitioners in the retail environment or specific product category related training program for more in-depth understanding
  • Gathering of market and competitive market intelligence


  • Degree in Optometry; Registered optometrist is a must
  • Minimum 3 yrs of work experience as an optometrist; preferably with retail, training and customer service background
  • Strong communication (oral & verbal) and interpersonal skills; proficient in English language
  • Critical thinker and problem solver
  • Able to work both independently and with a team under pressure
  • People oriented to build and sustain relationships with partners
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
  • Willing to travel anywhere in the Philippines
