This person:
- Answer and submit inquiries regarding patient information and medication therapies
- Take requests for refill orders, out on pass, patient discharge orders, and special delivery requests
- Assist the pharmacist with facility and physician office communications
- Obtain patient information for our data base by calling patient care representatives and physician offices
- Utilize judgment in knowing when to escalate issues to the management level
- Utilize various programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft Word
- Complete assigned projects upon request in a timely manner
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- HS diploma or equivalent is required
- 1 year of previous experience with direct client communication-customer service
- Prior health-care/pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Must have good oral communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
- Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
