Process Engineer (chemical and processing labs)

The electrochemical storage team at our client is taking up the challenge to realize Li-metal solid-state batteries. These batteries will be able to deliver the high energy density, fast charging and long lifetimes desired by industry and their customers. We are looking for a motivated process engineer actively participating in the development of Li metal anodes and more in particular on the characterization and understanding of the Li plating process.
The assignment
- You will discuss your experimental plans with experienced researchers to timely achieve the targets defined in our technical roadmap
- You will accurately execute and analyze these experiments in our labs, in collaboration with other team members
- You will report the progress and outcome of these experiments to experienced researchers
- You will ensuring good practice in the lab and set up processes and characterization protocols in your field of expertise
Required knowledge and skills
- You have a master degree in Engineering, Science or Science of Engineering, or equivalent by experience
- You have hands-on experience in chemical and processing labs
- Basic knowledge of electrochemistry or experience in battery R&D is a plus
- You can communicate fluently with senior researcher to define your tasks and directions and to report on the progress of these tasks
- You take initiative and can work independently to execute these tasks within the agreed time frame
