Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational consumer goods company. Our respected client is seeking a procurement professional, preferably with experience in a multinational consumer goods company, for the job of Procurement Manager, to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The winning candidate will report to the Head of Procurement.

Key job responsibilities will include:

  • Have experience in handling packaging products or coming from the packaging industry is preferred
  • Managing the position as the commercial market expert, recognizing and developing opportunities as he or she links company strategies and business needs to our base of suppliers outside the company
  • Uncovering business-building and cost-effectiveness opportunities
  • Developing and implementing innovative sourcing strategies
  • Choosing the suppliers of the product or service
  • Awarding contracts that ensure the correct amount of the product or service is received at the appropriate time
  • Resolving supply problems
  • Conducting supplier inquiries and negotiations
  • Creating breakthrough innovations at competitive prices is the company's key focus when developing and maintaining relationships with its suppliers
  • Managing the company's overall relationship with the supplier

Job Requirements:

  • University graduate with good management experience
  • At least 5 years' experience in purchasing management level and supply chain
  • Excellent listening, written and spoken English
  • Computer literate
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic sourcing
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting
  • Have experience attend working with an international supply base or group purchasing environment
  • Professional negotiation skills and works in a proactive style with good energy
  • Excellent general communication
  • Flexible and creative approach to achieving targets
  • Good understanding and practice of purchasing and supply strategy, management methods and techniques
  • Strong leadership, motivation and managerial skills
  • Managing time effectively and adapts quickly to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical standard
  • Team player who works productively with wide range of people
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environment
