Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a beauty and personal care company. Our respective client is in need of a R&D Head who will manage sensible development of new products and reformulation of existing products, from conceptualization to identifying new ingredients, formulating, costing, sample preparation, series of testing, production trial up to product launch. This role will be reporting to the Head of Plant with onsite work requirement in Laguna.
Tasks and Responsibilities: - Supervise the systematic progress of new product development, reformulations and alternative raw material testing.
- Lead and manage alternative raw material testing together with Supply Chain.
- Lead and manage the R&D team in prioritizing projects and deliverables.
- Lead continuous research formulation, innovation and marketing trends.
- Guide validations team in coming up with technical specifications based on data.
- Guarantee good Laboratory Practices and constant process improvement.
- Encourage creative thinking with the team.
- Assess team members' competencies and provide guidance in career development.
- Develop courteous and warm relationships with other departments, suppliers and service providers.
- Reinforce the team's culture of shared ownership.
Job Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent or any equivalent degree.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in R&D for cosmetics or pharmaceuticals, preferably with knowledge of natural products
- Experience in managing a technical team with strong people management skills.
