Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company with a core focus on manufacturing flour raw material. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 20 years' experience in engineering in a multinational company for the job of R&D Manager. The job is based in Cilegon, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Report directly to the Board of Director
  • Responsible to all aspects of manufacturing operation to fulfil the demand of customer request. It includes both technical and non-technical matters in flour raw material business
  • Responsible for R&D and new product developments, focusing on raw material flour with the collaboration with marketing team
  • Conduct comprehensive and standardized R&D and New Product Development (NPD) Projects from end-to-end process including research, design, sensory, and evaluation until commercialization monitoring
  • Ensure product compliance to quality and regulatory (local & export) standard with good coordination within and outside factory
  • Lead the team (management and operations)
  • Manage together with management team all aspects of running the day-to-day, including product development, production planning and monitoring, maintenance, quality control, procurement & inventory management
  • Build coherent team with clear performance focus, a can-do attitude and positive culture
  • Develop and implement operational improvements and best practice operating procedures
  • Support R&D and product development and transition of new product into production

Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree/Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Food Technology, or related field
  • 20+ years' experience in R&D in flour raw material
  • Having at least 15 years of experience in Analyst, R&D formulation development, new product development, or other role involving analytical work and / or solving formulation technical problems
  • Have knowledge / experience in handling R&D and New Product Development (Especially in the field of flour raw material)
  • Achievement focused and able to work in a direct and often pressurized environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with intellectual curiosity with an appetite for exploring new and previously uncharted
  • Able to set priorities, plan and organize work required by the direct superior
  • English proficiency (written and spoken)
