International award-winning executive recruitment expert Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of an eminent multinational luxury beauty & fashion company. Our client is seeking for an experienced Retail Manager who has strong passion and good experience in Beauty sector. The job is open for Vietnamese only.

Job Responsibilities:

Team Leader: The Retail Manager guides the Counter/Boutique Managers and the teams towards achieving business goals and developing individual talents.

  • Provide support, advice and direction to all Counter/Boutique Managers and Beauty Advisors in all matters pertaining to their roles and retail activities.
  • Review on a monthly basis with each Counter/Boutique Manager on their KPIs. Enhance performance by developing and empowering the team via coaching, with focus on Counter/Boutique Managers.
  • Construct and submit regular plans to Head of Retail and Learning team as well as Counter/Boutique Managers to appropriately reflect coaching priorities.
  • Participate in the recruitment of talents for the responsible counter/boutique by collaborating with Head of Retail and HR team.
  • Engage with Counter/Boutique Managers in talent recruitment, development and retention, ensure people development and reduce turnover by collaborating with HR team.
  • Formulate placement and transfer plans for retail team to reinforce team effectiveness. Prepare with Head of Retail in succession planning for short and long terms.
  • Supervise the orientation of new members to enhance the retail community, pride of belonging and employees well-being.
  • Ensure all staff related administration is completed and distributed in an accurate and timely manner and the records are well organized and maintained.
  • Translate and share the brand vision, strategies and business challenges, gives meaning and empowerment to the team while holding them accountable.
  • Foster learning culture via sharing of best practices on how to continue outperforming market and maintaining retail leadership.
  • Create an environment rich with ethics, integrity and diversity, which leads to positive team collaboration.
  • Consistently lead the team with examples as role model.

Business Developer: The Retail Manager embodies and entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Build strong professional relationships with Head of Counter/Boutique Managers to ensure optimum working partnerships in the development of Retail business.
  • Committed to achieve retail business KPIs including sales, CRM and client experience for the growth targets by month, quarter and year. Forecast future sales trends.
  • Work with Retail & Marketing Manager to define and manage commission/incentive schemes to ensure it is motivating and relevant, and achieve effective payout vs sales. Constantly seek to improve the productivity of sales team.
  • Supervise the execution of Marketing programs. Ensure all requirements for the programs are provided by working closely with Counter/Boutique Managers.
  • Communicate and coordinate activities with all levels of counter/boutique management among the Retail team, the trade partners and the Corporate office.
  • Work with Counter/Boutique Managers to ensure the inventory mix at the counter/boutique appropriately reflects the retail trend and specific marketing activity.
  • Oversee stock target and ensure healthy stock holding. Develop efficient process of stock and inventory management.
  • Ensure all operational procedures and policies regarding sales, returns, transfers, stock adjustments are followed.
  • Optimize the counter/boutique operations and process to facilitate in-store activities and efficiency.
  • Oversee from an area perspective that each counter maximizes staff strength according to traffic demand and trading patterns. Support shortfalls or one off special demands for manpower by appointing staff mobility.
  • Partner with Counter/Boutique Managers to proactively identify business driving opportunities and propose in-store animations to division head and corporate functions.
  • Plan special events calendar for selective key doors, supervise and support the required resources by coordinating with all stakeholders.
  • Collect & share best practices of business growth among the responsible boutiques & POS.
  • Work closely with Learning team on POS issues - selling & services, people & coaching - to enhance business and people performance.
  • Have a solid understanding of Retail business. Monitor and follow up on the competition and retail trends.
  • Possess strategic thinking ability, be able to initiate and propose new ideas, to compose reports or proposals by transforming sales data into useful information, inspire and lead the team to make decision and get the right support from third parties.
  • Provide constant feedback and reporting to corporate functions in order to influence strategies and recommendations.
  • Negotiate and network with the trade partners to elevate the presence and awareness of the brand.
  • Develop long-lasting business relationship with trade partners. Assist in new door opening, counter renovation, counter closing and trade terms agreement.

Experience Gatekeeper: The Retail Manager supervises conditions for a consistent and memorable client experience.

  • Supervise each door to ensure the highest brand image, service and client experience standards are maintained at POS.
  • Ensure the respect of uniforms and grooming guidelines at POS at all times.
  • Lead by example on the selling floor by creating tailor-made client experiences, personalized for each client visit, using the experience ritual and building long-lasting relationships.
  • Consider the omni-channel journey as a whole and help the team embrace digital shopping trends.
  • Ensure all counters/boutiques follow the visual merchandising and hygiene guidelines as directed by VM & Design and Training teams.
  • Provide best practices downstream to inspire for the maximized client experience at POS.
  • Support the Counter/Boutique Managers in the resolution of client service complaint issues.
  • Accountable for Client Satisfaction Survey results by doors and react with necessary solutions, plans and actions for improved performance.

Ambassador: The Retail Manager embodies the values of the brand and influence the team.

  • Has a solid knowledge of the Brand, its heritage, modernity and know-how on Fragrance & Beauty business and a general understanding of Fashion and WFJ businesses, is able to share it with the clients as well as the team. Shares it with the clients as well as the team.
  • Supervise the implementation of all training received, being curious and proactive in self learning in order to nourish a global and beauty culture in the team.
  • Project, enhance and protect the brand image at all times.
