Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable multinational organization well known in operating high valued chemical terminals across the globe.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
- To ensure safe and conducive working environment of the terminal by conducting periodic review on existing company workplace hazard and propose recommendation for safe workplace.
- Guiding the Technical & Maintenance Team for issuing safety work permits to employees and sub-contractors and ensure safety procedures are compiled pertaining to hot and cold works, confined space entry, electrical and excavation works and working at heights.
- To support and perform audit with SSHE Committee related to environmental, safety, security and health matters and distribute audit report and corrective action plan to relevant parties.
- To attend SSHE meetings conducted by relevant authorities and report to the management for action.
- To review SSHE program and make recommendation if necessary to the management.
- To organize and co-ordinate fire safety and emergency response program.
- To organize and co-ordinate chemical/oil spill response exercise.
- To co-ordinate accident investigation on industrial accident and prepare report to relevant parties and authority.
- To provide support/advice on evaluation of existing and new SSHE equipment before procurement accordingly.
- Foster and sustain effective working relationships and good rapport with government authorities as well as SSHE related parties such as DOSH, DOE, Bomba, MSOSH, CICM, etc.
- To lead the SSHE Committee meeting, preparation on the minutes of meeting and monitor the proposed action.
- As safety representative for the Company to receive/updates any new regulations/BOP from local authorities (DOSH, DOE, Bomba) and as well to exchange new practises of safety with sister company.
- Develop and train downlines for their potential career growth with SHWP.
- Perform any related tasks/assignments as instructed by the Management.
Key job requirements include:
- Minimum 5 years working experience in related field.
- Valid qualification in occupational health and safety with green book.
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies.
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are required. This is to enable relevant requirements and information are communicated to all stakeholders and further formulation of action plans to be executed.
- Good leadership in managing the SSHE management in the terminal.
