Sales Manager - Trucking and Warehousing (based in Medan)
Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading Multinational company provider of integrated Logistics freight forwarding. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 15 years' experience in trucking and warehousing sector for the job of Sales Manager. The job is based in Medan, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Develop the new market in trucking and warehousing
- Develop new and standardize products together with the product manager - the right products for the right price for the clients
- Develop value propositions enabling for sales to sell
- On the job training of the sales organization to sell logistics products
- Proposing and pitching L&S solutions to customers
- Facilitate global / regional solutions in Indonesia by providing / developing relevant local services products upon request
- Identify logistics opportunities from new and existing customers
- Explore new product opportunities
- Provide leadership to the commercial and business development team, through addressing the commercial, technical, and operational aspects of potential customer. This will include leading negotiations and having a clear understanding of the logistics, as well the commercial operations execution for example relating to operational issues, freight economics and process planning
- Overlooking day-to-day business process and in collaboration with the operation team to identify potential client and provide a recommendation for improvements
- Asset performance monitoring, assessment and determine the risk, mitigate, and implement a solution to achieve the company's objectives
- Develop solutions, strategies, and assessment of current industry impact to ensure customer satisfaction and business continuity, in line with the company's strategy
- Managing pricing cost of service and customer requirement
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in commercial discipline from reputable university
* Minimum 15 years' experience in trucking and warehousing
* Analytical skills and sound financial understanding of the supply chain
* Strong in a commercial acumen
* Knowledge of current market trends and the freight forwarding that operate in the market
* Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with teams and networks and influence outcomes at many levels in an organization
* Excellent project management skills - with ability to identify critical path issues and develop solutions to keep a program on track
* Influencing and networking skills
* Strong strategic purchasing and negotiations skills are required
* Strong problem-solving and creative skills
* Strong sales and negotiation technique
* Track-record of business development
* Strong problem-solving ability and effective employee management experience
