Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a well-trusted global chemical industry leader. Our respected client is seeking a sales and marketing expert with 10 solid years of experience in chemical solutions handling the Consumer Goods sector required for the position of Sales / Market Manager. The job is based in Makati City, Philippines.

Job Summary:

The Sales/Market Manager will conduct and support various sales and marketing activities including sales presentations, product demonstrations, business negotiation, Tendering, and quoting proposals including reporting. Represent the company, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings. Contributes to the overall sales growth of the organization.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Ensures implementation of company policies
  • Prepares Market Analysis reports for company business Review
  • Handles principal reporting requirements
  • Prepares weekly and monthly highlights for assigned key accounts and Industry Segments
  • Coordinates with Head of Sales/SCM for Price Management and Market Development activities
  • Conducts Internal Product Technical and Applications Training for the sales team
  • Provides Market Development Strategy and Action Plans
  • Principal & Customer relationship
  • Works with Sales Team to Implement and supervise action plans to:
  • Increase market share
  • Price initiatives to increase CM2
  • Market and Principal development
  • Customer-specific new products and applications
  • Performs pricing analysis and recommends pricing structure, floor price, and customer-specific
  • Ensures on-time & accurate rolling sales forecast as required under the S&OP Process
  • Coordinates with other Market Managers for the common products
  • Manages Accounts Receivables from assigned key accounts
  • Continually enhances market knowledge and identifies sales opportunities within the assigned industry
  • Continually enhances product knowledge by participating in assigned training and reading literature pertinent to the job
  • Coordinates with Principals, Region, and Global teams for Company sponsored seminars for assigned products
  • Keeps the company name in good stead
  • Represents the company in selected trade shows, conventions, and associations as may be assigned
  • Liaises with other departments for the group's requirements and as needed
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to Time
  • Responsible for validation and agreement with the sales and developmental targets set by
  • The sales team for the assigned Industry/Segment
  • Implementation of agreed company strategy
  • Review and recommendation of selling price based on a justified product costing
  • Review and recommendation of customer credit terms and credit limit for assigned key -accounts
  • Review and analysis of market survey
  • Preparation of yearly business plan for the assigned industry
  • Review of sales, development, and status reports for suppliers and management

Job Requirements:

  • At least (10) years of Sales and/or Marketing experience in an Industrial business environment (B2B) experience in the distribution business in the industries of food, personal care, and pharma
  • Should have managerial experience handling salespeople
  • Excellent leadership competencies; strategic-minded
  • Should have good communication skills since the position will entail meetings and business presentations, company owners, principals, and our regional executives
  • Able to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team
  • Has very good business correspondence skills
  • Ability to analyze business opportunities and read situations well
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Willing to work in Makati City
  • This position will entail traveling within NCR and overseas
