The Head of SEA Logistics will oversee all logistics operations in South East Asia, based in Thailand, leading a team and reporting to the APAC & Greater China Logistics Director, with possible frequent travel
Job Responsibilities
- Understand and capture logistics and service needs and requirements of the different business groups and entities across South East Asia and Asia Pacific.
- Drive and lead strategic initiatives to optimize, enhance and reshape Logistics organization in the Region.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and collaborate closely as well as influence other departments, suppliers and stakeholders to optimize operations and reduce costs without compromising service level or customer satisfaction.
- Monitor regularly the global strategic service providers performance review and follow-up with continuous improvement plans, root-cause-analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Lead appropriate risk analysis and assessments and taking action to minimize risk within the logistics, compliance and distribution network.
- Make sure that customs and government processes, procedures, and activities related to transportation and brokerage comply with country-specific regulations and are effectively managed
- Participate in the definition of the global and regional logistics procurement budgets.
- Ensuring best-in-class delivery performance from service providers within the entire logistics network
Job Requirements
- Extensive working experience in Logistics/Transportation field.
- Bachelors' Degree or above in Logistic Management, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Highly analytical, KPI driven and robust strategic mindset and resilience
- Experience in Organization Transformation is a big advantage.
- Proven experience in logistics management within the South-East Asia region
- Ability to work independently and to deploy detailed action plans from general objectives.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and capability to effectively manage projects & people.
- Excellent English skills, will consider MNC / Western experienced expat
