Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Professional Division is partnered with an international biopharmaceutical company. They are currently seeking an exceptional Senior Finance Manager with at least 8-12 years of relevant experience.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, staff payroll among others.
  • Implement internal and external controls for the company and supervise the rollout of the SAP accounting control system for the company.
  • Treasury Management - Set up facilities for working capital loans, such as export invoice financing, import bill financing, and purchase bill financing. Additionally, establish and oversee non-fund-based credits like LC and BG, coordinate with banks, and make use of FX contracts.
  • A/P (facility setup and regular operations), journal entries, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliation, ledger account analysis, schedules, and monitoring financial account integrity.
  • Handle capitalization and capex accounting for a USD 300+ million bio-pharma facility, plus other fixed assets
  • Manage quarterly interactions with team in India / group auditors for financial reporting under IFRS; handle accounting policies for the company; proficiency with SAP FICO module; aptitude for comprehending / putting into practise group SOPs.
  • Keep track of statutory payments (EPF, SOCSO, etc.), MIDA filings, and BNM reporting in accordance with local laws.
  • Coordinate for the completion of statutory audits and timely month- and year-end closing.
  • Creation of the plant's opex and capital expenditure budget, with actual spending compared to budgeted spending on a monthly basis to determine whether corrective action is necessary.
  • Key Performance Indicator - lead implementation of the MIS module and internal control capitalization completed on time, no problems with the audit or accounts closure, and no escalation of daily accounting activities.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Finance / and a relevant professional qualification e.g ACCA, ICAEW, CPA Australia etc.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience including experience in a managerial capacity.
  • Proficiency in SAP FICO and track record of putting into practice group SOPs
  • Justifiably confident, trustworthy, well-organized and able to work both independently and in a team
