Our respected client is seeking for a Senior Tax & Financial Analyst with solid knowledge in Tax & Compliance on GAAP and IFRS. The job is based in BGC, Taguig City, Philippines.
Job Summary:
The Management will be responsible to apply regulatory guidelines in conducting business transactions within the Company. This role ensures the compliance on GAAP and IFRS.
Key job responsibilities include:
* Prepares and submits tax returns, tax returns schedules and necessary attachment, and other regulatory Government reporting requirements on time upon the Finance Manager's review and approval.
* Identify tax risks and elevate the matter to the FCM with analysis on potential amount or value of exposure.
* Support or identify innovative tax planning programs and suggest innovative solutions for process improvement using best practices.
* Manage and track tax balances on general ledger whilst pro-actively perform internal review on documents and recommend effective compliance.
* Perform tax research and other government agencies regulations and staying up to date on the changes.
* Monitor the adherence of the Company's sound internal controls and keep abreast of necessary internal standards and business goals.
* Spearhead the completion of the internal control checklist and work collaboratively with the other business units.
* Support and assist regular and annual department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, annual tax filings, Group statutory reporting, Inter company reconciliation, internal control checklist completion and others.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Update Company's records with the government agencies including renewal of licenses and permits (i.e., BOC, Tax, LGU, SSS, Philhealth, Pag-ibig, SEC)
* Do the monthly regulatory reports required by SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig and serve as liaison as needed.
* Prepare and issue tax certificates to qualified suppliers and service providers.
* Collaboratively work with the FCM in providing response to government agencies, insurance companies, bank institutions and other external parties when needed.
* Perform other tasks that may be assigned by management from time to time.
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy
* Must be a Certified Public Accountant / CPA
* Possesses compliance certification (i.e., CPA, CIA) and at least 3 years extensive exposure to government regulatory compliance and tax accounting.
* Superior attention to detail to identify and correct risky practices.
* Must be a strong communicator and capable of expressing oneself clearly both speaking and in writing
* High level of interpersonal skills to be able to work effectively and positively with personnel at all levels in the organisation.
* Strong personal accountability for driving and delivering on targets and deadlines.
* Detailed oriented, knowledgeable on statistics, have strong problem-solving skills,
* Knowledgeable in generally accepted accounting principles and practices, computerised system, understanding of current political and business environment.
* Ability to think out of the box; Spearheading of high-impact initiatives; Anticipation of potential problems and resolution of problems,
* Must have good leadership skills and effective communicator.
HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS:
* ERP system - MFG-Pro
* Proficient Microsoft Excel skills.
* Actual experience in dealing with government agencies, external audits, and other compliance regulatory bodies.
* Can start as soon as possible / within a month.
* Willing to be assigned in BGC Taguig City.
* Work on-site (M-F)
