The Data Compliance & Privacy team in global payments organisation protects users on our platform by promoting privacy by design. We design architectures that treat user data respectfully, with transparency, and in line with reasonable practices. Data privacy engineering is a new technological territory that hasn't been well defined in our industry. - Develop and design large-scale data privacy infrastructure to help enforce privacy practices with consistency and efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership to the team, and play a key role in driving code and architecture reviews as well as large cross-company privacy reviews of products and features.
- Work closely with Security, Privacy, and Product leaders to help define goals that are properly aligned to company-wide goals.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience in software engineering, privacy engineering or security engineering.
- Experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
- Experience communicating highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Code maintenance and review experience in one or more general-purpose languages.
- BS in Computer Science or technical field of study, or equivalent industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with compliance and policy teams, government entities, external privacy-focused community members and members of the press.
