Must have Kansas State Pharmacy Technician License. National pharmacy tech certification preferred.At least 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician. Able to lift 30-50lbs
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, selects, prepares, and packages medications and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients. Performs record keeping functions. Assists in various inventory control processes (rare and voluntary).
Must be able to stand for duration of shift (8-10 hours) two 15 min breaks and one 30 min lunch break. Must be able to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs. for duration of shift. Must be able to occasionally lift to 30-50 lbs. during a shift. Reaching and grasping objects at various levels is required (stools supplied and most workstations are adjustable). While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to utilize a keyboard and operate departmental machinery (EYECON pill counting device-will be trained on how to use). Employee regularly works near and around moving machinery (conveyor belts). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (can wear earbuds if preferred). The employee may be required to wear protective clothing or equipment.
