Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia is recruiting on behalf of a best-in-class integrated automation solution for warehouses, distribution centres and hospitals. The company also has special expertise within the temperature-controlled logistics sector, having pioneered the design and development of automated systems for temperature-controlled (TC) healthcare & food environments.

The winning candidate will need at least 2 years' work experience in Java programming within automated material handling system or similar field for the job of System Support Engineer. The System Support Engineer is responsible to provide software support to our client's WMS installed at various sites and maintain know how and knowledge of the WM, AM and SPOC. They shall ensure adherence to all the relevant instructions and standards of Software Customer Service and will at all times act to improve the project benefit. The winning candidate must have strong expertise in java programming, oracle, MSSQL database, administration skills and etc.

Job descriptions:

  • Provide software support for our client's Warehouse Management installed at various sites
  • Respond to customer concerns and complaints in the possible shortest and reasonable time
  • Provide regular software maintenance on site. This service shall go along with reviewing the operation and update the knowledge regarding new installations and changed operational processes.
  • Develop enhancements (change order) which include requirement specification, low level design, development, integration, and training
  • Produce appropriate documentation pertaining the software support cycle and according to our client's process handbook
  • Perform daily level 2 support works to our client's global covering various scopes from sales, implementation, up to customer support work pertaining to software functionality, GAP analysis, database tuning, product performance analysis, bug fixing, etc

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ IT or equivalent with at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Must have knowledge and experience in Java programming
  • Preferable knowledge and experience in Oracle reports / forms
  • Knowledge and experience in warehousing/ ERP is an added advantage
  • Strong hands-on development skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to travel and work overseas (mostly SEA countries) for long duration.
  • Minimum travelling is 1 - 2 weeks, maximum can stretch up to 1 - 2 months depending on project's urgency.
  • Must be willing to standby 24/7 for support services after / before office hour
