Tax Assistant Manager



Our client; a real estate firm based in the West End, are looking for a Tax Assistant Manager.

Working within the UK HQ of this brand, you will be reporting to the Tax Manager and primarily driving the corporate tax compliance, year end and statutory accounts reporting processes.

This is a newly created role, with lots of scope for involvement and progression in time.

As Tax Assistant Manager your duties will include:

  • Corporate Tax Compliance - preparing 30+ UK tax returns, quarterly payments on account calculations, working with external advisers to manage capital allowance claims and R&D reviews
  • Financial reporting - preparing current deferred tax provisions for management, dealing with audit and shareholder queries, regular management reporting
  • Other tax compliance
  • Ad-hoc advisory - managing tax administrations with HMRC and advisers, dealing with tax business queries, supporting in the review of tax risks

This role requires a high level of numeracy and strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to work on numerous projects simultaneous and liaising professionally with various departments across the group.

You should have a strong UK corporate tax compliance and accounting background and be qualified (or near to qualifying) ACA/ACCA/Equivalent.

Relevant industry experience is essential - real estate, property, retail or hospitality.

They are open as to whether that experience is gained within practice or industry; you just must have worked with clients within the above sectors.
