Team Lead for Financial Accounting


Executive recruitment Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a multinational shared service company with history and core competencies in the areas of health care and agriculture. Our respective client is looking for a Team Leader for Financial Accounting who will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of end-to-end process of Financial Accounting Services that includes General Ledger, Closing, Reporting and Audit Coordination by leading, managing and motivating a team. This position will manage a team of accountants and will be reporting to the Leadership Team and Stakeholders. The job is based in Taguig City, with temporary work-from-home set-up.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Certify performance of closing and reporting activities
  • Manage a team of Accountants to achieve the tasks of the position, to contribute to people development for his/her team and the related performance management
  • Ensure timely and accurate performance of ICS Controls
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements
  • Review and reply to internal and external audit requirements, issues and findings
  • Check audit findings and prepare recommended actions/replies to the Operations Manager and Service Delivery Manager
  • Ensure performance of Service Level Agreements (SLA) for each of the catered Financial Accounting Services are met
  • Provide good communication lines with internal and external business partners
  • Minimize risk in the organization and processes
  • Understand-up and resolve issues and queries from stakeholders
  • Manage the continuous improvement of the team and individual performance

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, preferably CPA
  • At least 7 years of working experience in finance and accounting with 5 years managerial experience
  • BPO / SSO market experience is an advantage
  • Good economic understanding and industry insight (good customer and market orientation)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to talk on eye level and open-minded, with a high degree of self-initiative and intercultural competency
  • Distinctive communication and presentation skills, strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Good organizational and editorial skills; events conceptualization and management is an advantage
  • Flexible and resourceful in challenging and changing situations
  • Works effectively even under pressure
