TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER - STAINES, WEST LONDON (HYBRID) - 12 MONTH CONTRACT - ASAP START

My client, a leading IT services company is looking to hire a Technical Support Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. You will be providing technical support to customers and end-users with great attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.

This role would suit someone with 1+ years' experience in a technical support/ technical analyst/ service desk role. Previous experience working on a service desk responding to tickets/escalations.

Role:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues in electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, software, and networked/wireless systems.
  • Provide second-line technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support.
  • Collaborate with design engineering and software engineering teams to report and address design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs.
  • Assist in customer installations and provide training when required.
  • Engage directly with customers/users in situations where the product is highly technical.
  • Work closely with product support personnel to address customer issues that cannot be resolved by first-level resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, software, and networked/wireless systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing outstanding technical support.
  • Familiarity with systems-level software and/or complex software applications is a plus.
