Job Summary
Our respected client is seeking a Technical Support Engineer of the highest professional standing and a background in handling trouble shooting and maintenance reports. This job is based on Makati City, Philippines and offers an on-site work arrangement.
Key job responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance of customer Network, Server, PC, and other endpoint devices.
- Prepare accurate and timely preventive maintenance reports with relevant information.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to Server, Network, PC and Office Software.
- Proper escalation of unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.
- Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals.
- Coordination with Customer & Vendor (if necessary) for scheduled maintenance.
- Knowledge of monitoring and maintaining computer systems, network, servers, and endpoint devices of customers.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance. Pro-active maintenance to prevent unavailability of failure or IT resources.
- Corrective Maintenance. Post-active maintenance to solve problems and minimize stoppage on operations.
- Knowledge in troubleshooting of server system, network and endpoint devices including solving hardware and software faults.
- Knowledge of installation and configuration of computer hardware, software, operating system, and application.
- Knowledge to navigate and use of the below:
- Microsoft Products (Windows OS for PC, Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Windows Server Role and Features deployment and configuration (AD, DFS, DHCP, WSUS)
- Linux-based operating system (Ubuntu, Redhat, CENTOS)
- Email System Cloud (M365, Google Workspace), On-Prem (Exchange, MDaemon)
- Back-up Software/System (Veeam, Acronis, Veritas, Arcserve)
- Server Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- EDR Services
- Hardware Equipment (Network, Server, PC, Laptop, Multi-function Printers, Mobile Phones and other endpoint devices)
- Manage PC set up and deployment to new employee.
- Communicates with staff through a series of actions set up the system or resolve the issue.
- Manage PC set up and deployment to new employee. 16. Support Internal IT Operations.
Key job qualifications:
- Graduate/Bachelor's degree in information technology and other computer-related/equivalent courses.
- More than average knowledge and skills in server system design, maintenance, documentation, troubleshooting.
- More than average knowledge in Microsoft Servers System (Linux System is a plus)
- At least two (2) years of experience as a L2 Technical Support with Routing Maintenance tasks, or any IT related equivalent exposure.
- Understands business operations, IT Solution and Services and customer service.
