Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of one of the largest independent Software Defined Platform companies in the world, delivering secure hybrid networking, cloud communications, and managed security solutions to enterprise business around the globe. Our respected client is seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer.
Job Summary:
The Test Automation Engineer will be in charge of evaluating software requirements, technical and functional specification papers, and creating manual and automated test scripts to ensure that code is working as it should.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Review software requirements, technical, and functional specification documents to develop manual and automated test scripts to assure the code operates as defined.
  • Execute moderately complex test scripts and document results to communicate issues found with software developers and business analysts.
  • Track and troubleshoot issues with developers and cycle through the development process.
  • Maintain bug-tracking information.
  • Perform system administration for test tools and test environments.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to understand feature requirements and acceptance testing criteria.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Google Docs, Slack, and other productivity tools.
  • Experience with Web-Service Testing, SQL, Git
  • Experience in Agile Scrum preferred.
  • Experience working with an automation tool preferred. Amenable to work at night (shifting schedule) / work from home until further notice
  • Must be passionate about finding bugs and contributing to software quality.
  • Ability to quickly learn new ideas and concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to contribute as a team player.
  • Self-driven, energetic professional who can learn quickly.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented environment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Must be a self-starter, efficient in achieving goals and proactive in pursuing subsequent tasks.
  • Ability to perform tasks with little supervision.
