Staffing Industry Analysts, the global advisor on contingent work, is proud to announce that Tony Martin, chairman of Empresaria, is the recipient of the 2014 Peter Yessne Staffing Leadership Award. Martin is to be honored at the 23rd annual Executive Forum on Thursday, 20th March at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront in San Diego, CA.
The Peter Yessne Staffing Leadership Award is an annual award created to honor the accomplishments of founder and former chairman of Staffing Industry Analysts, Peter Yessne. The award recognizes an individual who is a thought-leader and trailblazer and who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in growing and developing the industry. This is the sixth year for the award.
"I am honored to present Tony with the Peter Yessne Staffing Leadership award for his contribution to the staffing industry," said Barry Asin, president of Staffing Industry Analysts. "Tony has been a leader and pioneer in the globalization of professional and specialty staffing businesses that has benefitted our industry and all its participants."
Martin served as chairman and CEO of Select Appointment Holdings from 1992 to 1999. During that time he grew the company from $60 million in annual revenue to over $1.8 billion, with operations in 25 countries and 12 areas of specialty. He was influential in pioneering new niche staffing segments and the delivery of staffing services in numerous emerging markets. Select was acquired by Dutch staffing giant Vedior and Martin was ultimately appointed chairman and CEO. Vedior was sold to Randstad in 2008. Martin is now chairman of the global staffing firm Empresaria, a publicly listed global staffing firm traded in London.

Each year Peter Yessne Staffing Leadership Award recipients are selected by a committee of key Staffing Industry Analysts staff based on dozens of nominations. The candidates are evaluated rigorously in terms of innovation, their level of impact on the industry and whether or not their leadership has stood the test of time.
The Executive Forum conference will be held between 18th-21st March and is the most prominent annual meeting for CEOs, owners and top level executives from all sectors of the staffing industry.
