Empresaria announces retirement of Chair Tony Martin CBE

Empresaria, the global specialist staffing group, announces that Tony Martin CBE, Non-Executive Chair, has taken the decision to retire from his position on the Board of Directors with effect from today. Tony joined the Empresaria Board in 2004 as Chair, following an extensive career in the staffing sector, leading some of the world's largest international staffing companies. Tony is also the founder of a charitable foundation and last week was made a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) for his charitable services.
Penny Freer, a Non-Executive Director since 2005, will be appointed as interim Chair with effect from today. The Board's Nomination Committee is leading the process to appoint two new independent Non-Executive Directors to strengthen the Board and Committees and ensure that Empresaria continues to be best positioned to deliver on its strategy and growth ambitions. Further announcements will be made in due course.
Zach Miles, Non- Executive Director of Empresaria said: "Having worked with Tony for over three decades, I have greatly valued his insights throughout my career. His deep knowledge of the staffing sector has helped to guide Empresaria over the past 18 years. I thank Tony for his service to Empresaria and wish him all the very best following his retirement."

On his retirement, Tony Martin said: "It has been an honour to serve Empresaria for the past 18 years in the role of Chair. Empresaria is in an excellent position with a strong leadership team, and it therefore feels the right time to transition to full retirement and concentrate on my Charitable Foundation. A successful staffing company needs vision, innovation, business ingenuity, efficient implementation and a competitive spirit and I am proud of what we have built together. I am confident that Empresaria has a bright future ahead. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Staffing Industry Analysts for their Hall of Fame and leadership awards."
